Russia registers 12,046 new cases of Covid-19, 32 deaths in past 24 hours - HQ

MOSCOW. March 15 (Interfax) - Russia has registered 12,046 new cases of Covid-19 and 32 related deaths over the past 24 hours, the coronavirus response headquarters said in a statement on Wednesday.

Russia "has recorded 12,046 new cases of Covid-19 and 1,691 patients have been hospitalized over the day, down 8.1% from the day before," the headquarters said.

According to the headquarters, the number of hospitalizations increased in 39 Russian constituent territories, declined in 39, and remained unchanged in seven.

The daily morbidity has grown by 2,520 cases from 9,526 recorded on Tuesday.

Thirty-two patients died from Covid-19 over the past day, versus 44 the day before.

"Another 14, 089 patients have recovered in the past 24 hours, up 13.6% from March 14," the headquarters said.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Russia has seen a total of 22,454,933 cases of Covid-19, including 396,696 deaths and 21,806,101 recoveries.
