Russia registers 10,268 new cases of Covid-19, 34 deaths in past 24 hours - HQ

MOSCOW. March 13 (Interfax) - Russia has registered 10,268 new cases of Covid-19 and 34 related deaths over the past 24 hours, the coronavirus response headquarters said in a statement on Monday.

Russia "recorded 10,268 new cases of Covid-19 and 619 patients were hospitalized over the day, down 18.3% from the day before," the headquarters said.

According to the headquarters, the number of hospitalizations increased in 21 Russian constituent territories, declined in 44, and remained unchanged in 20.

The daily morbidity has decreased by 1,717 cases from 11,985 recorded on Sunday.

Thirty-seven patients died from Covid-19 over the past day, versus 34 the day before.

"Another 9,476 patients have recovered in the past 24 hours, down 15,5% from March 12," the headquarters said.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Russia has seen a total of 22,433,361 cases of Covid-19, including 396,620 deaths and 21,779,606 recoveries.
