Russia registers 14,516 new cases of Covid-19, 40 deaths in past 24 hours - HQ

MOSCOW. March 3 (Interfax) - Russia has registered 14,516 new cases of Covid-19 and 40 related deaths over the past 24 hours, the coronavirus response headquarters said in a statement on Friday.

Russia "has recorded 14,516 new cases of Covid-19 and 1,546 patients have been hospitalized over the day, down 12.5% from the day before," the headquarters said.

According to the headquarters, the number of hospitalizations increased in 26 Russian constituent territories, declined in 49, and remained unchanged in ten.

The daily morbidity has grown by 420 cases from 14,096 recorded on Thursday.

Forty patients died from Covid-19 over the past day, versus 39 the day before.

"Another 11,512 patients have recovered in the past 24 hours, down 17.4% from March 2," the headquarters said.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Russia has seen a total of 22,314,520 cases of Covid-19, including 396,216 deaths and 21,656,858 recoveries.
