Rosnedra confirms reserves of Lukoil's new field in Caspian Sea at 8.4 mln tonnes of oil, 136 bcm of gas, 24.4 mln tonnes of condensate

MOSCOW. March 1 (Interfax) - The Russian Federal Subsoil Resources Management Agency (Rosnedra) has confirmed the reserves of Lukoil's recently discovered Maganov field in the Caspian Sea at a Tithonian structure, the Natural Resources Ministry told Interfax.

"According to the results of the government's expert review, oil reserves totaling 8.4 million tonnes, gas reserves totaling 136.2 billion cubic meters, and condensate reserves totaling 24.4 million tonnes have been recorded in the State Register of Mineral Reserves. The field has been categorized as 'large' according to the amount of the reserves," the ministry said.

A Rosnedra protocol from early February confirmed the results of the government's expert review of the reserves at the Maganov oil and gas condensate field, the ministry specified.
