Russia registers 13,438 new cases of Covid-19, 37 deaths in past 24 hours - HQ

MOSCOW. March 1 (Interfax) - Russia has registered 13,438 new cases of Covid-19 and 37 related deaths over the past 24 hours, the coronavirus response headquarters said in a statement on Wednesday.

Russia "has recorded 13,438 new cases of Covid-19 and 1,950 patients have been hospitalized over the day, down 5% from the day before," the headquarters said.

According to the headquarters, the number of hospitalizations increased in 37 Russian constituent territories, declined in 42, and remained unchanged in six.

The daily morbidity has grown by 3,685 cases from 9,753 recorded on Tuesday.

Thirty-seven patients died from Covid-19 over the past day, versus 35 the day before.

"Another 16,557 patients have recovered in the past 24 hours, up 15.3% from February 28," the headquarters said.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Russia has seen a total of 22,285,908 cases of Covid-19, including 396,137 deaths and 21,631,409 recoveries.
