U.S. EQT Corp. donates oil and gas production equipment to Ukraine's Ukrgasvydobuvannya
MOSCOW. Feb 27 (Interfax) - EQT Corporation, the largest independent producer of natural gas in the United States, has donated oil and gas production equipment to JSC Ukrgasvydobuvannya, Ukraine's gas producer, Ukrainian media said, citing the company's press service.
The equipment will be used to restore damaged oil and gas production facilities and to maintain the stability of production processes.
The donated equipment will allow Ukrgasvydobuvannya to repair damaged oil and gas production infrastructure faster and on a larger scale and implement critical production projects, the Ukrainian company's head Oleg Tolmachev said.
EQT Corp. has become the first U.S. company to provide gas production equipment to Ukraine, Ukrgasvydobuvannya said. These supplies have become possible thanks to the support of the U.S. government and Ukraine's Infrastructure Ministry.
As reported, Ukrgasvydobuvannya, which is 100% owned by Naftogaz of Ukraine, produced 12.5 billion cubic meters of (commercial) natural gas in 2022, which is 3% less than the year before. The company plans to increase gas production by 1 bcm in 2023.
EQT Corp. produces natural gas in the Appalachian Basin in the states of Pennsylvania, West Georgia and Ohio.
