Ukraine to work on upgrading State Land Cadaster together with WB, EU
MOSCOW. Feb 22 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian State Service for Geodesy, Cartography, and Cadaster (StateGeoCadaster) will work on modernizing the automated system of the State Land Cadaster along with the World Bank and the European Union, with support from national and international experts.
Ukrainian IT experts, with support from the World Bank and the EU, conducted an independent technical appraisal of the condition of the State Land Cadaster's automated system and the State Land Cadaster Center's IT infrastructure, and its results were presented on February 21, Ukrainian media reported with reference to the StateGeoCadaster's website.
The specialists analyzed the key components of the State Land Cadaster's automated system, its functionality, security, available resources, and the management of its development and technical support processes. Having assessed the system's functionality, the specialists determined that, to maintain the State Land Cadaster's efficient operations, there is a need for upgrading the automated system, institutionally transforming the management of its development, control, and monitoring, and enhancing its cybersecurity and data protection.
Based on the meeting's outcomes, the parties decided to set up a joint working group involving representatives from the State Land Cadaster, the EU, and the World Bank, as well as national and international experts, in order to put together a project team for promoting the State Land Cadaster Center's transformation and satisfying its urgent needs in updating and servicing its critical equipment.
