Zelensky and Tokayev discuss humanitarian ties between Ukraine and Kazakhstan

MOSCOW. Feb 17 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and his Kazakh counterpart Kassym-Jomart Tokayev discussed humanitarian ties between their countries during a phone call on Thursday, Ukrainian media said, citing Tokayev's press service.

"A telephone conversation took place between Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky at the Ukrainian side's initiative. The heads of state discussed humanitarian ties between Kazakhstan and Ukraine," the press service said.

Zelensky, for his part, said that Tokayev and he also discussed cooperation on international platforms.

"I had a phone call with President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. We discussed cooperation on international platforms. I also thanked Kazakhstan for its humanitarian aid for Ukraine," Zelensky said on social media on Thursday evening.
