Ukrainian Border Service updates border crossing statistics

MOSCOW. Feb 13 (Interfax) - The net outflow of people from Ukraine declined to 8,000 over the past week from 9,000 a week before, Ukrainian media reported with reference to the State Border Service's information available on social media.

The number of people who departed Ukraine between February 4 and 11 declined to 219,000 from 233,000, and the number of those entering Ukraine to 211,000 from 224,000, the service said.

The number of cars that crossed Ukraine's western borders in this period declined to 118,000 from 119,000, while the number of vehicles cleared to carry humanitarian aid declined to 464 from 506.

According to the United Nations Refugee Agency information as of February 7, a total of 18.38 million people have departed Ukraine since the start of the crisis, with 9.465 million of these having crossed into Poland, 2.852 million Russia (this figure has not been updated since October 3, 2022), 2.183 million Hungary, 1.936 million Romania, 1.163 million Slovakia, about 765,000 Moldova, and about 16,700 Belarus.

At the same time, according to the UN, 10.126 million people entered Ukraine between February 28, 2022 and February 7, 2023, exclusive of those who arrived from Hungary, Russia, and Belarus.
