Egypt buys 60,000 tonnes of Ukrainian corn

MOSCOW. Feb 6 (Interfax) - The Egyptian General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC) has purchased 60,000 tonnes of corn of Ukrainian origin under a direct agreement, Ukrainian media reported, quoting the Ukrainian analytical agency APK-Inform website.

The corn was purchased from the operator Egyptian African Co in two consignments of 30,000 tonnes each. The rice of the corn was $323/tonne: the corn itself was purchased for $308/tonne FOB, and charter cost $15/tonne.

The corn should be delivered to Egypt in the second half of February to early March.
