Russian gas price for Belarus to stay at last year's level - Russian energy minister

ALMATY. Feb 3 (Interfax) - The Russian gas price for Belarus will stay at last year's level in 2023 and the settlements will be made in rubles, Russian Energy Minister Nikolai Shulginov said.

It will stay "at last year's level with settlements in rubles," Shulginov told reporters on Friday.

The Russian gas price for Belarus was set at $128.5 per 1,000 cubic meters in 2022. Belarus has been paying for Russian gas with Russian rubles in an established procedure since April 1, 2022.

It was reported earlier that the sides were coordinating the principles of functioning and regulation of the common natural gas market in the Russia-Belarus Union State.
