RZD has to limit transport of petroleum products to ports if unloading regulations not observed - deputy head of RZD Glazkov

MOSCOW. Feb 2 (Interfax) - JSC RZD has to introduce convention restrictions on ports if regulations on unloading petroleum products by partners are not observed, Mikhail Glazkov, deputy head of RZD and head of the Central Traffic Control Directorate, said in an interview with the Gudok corporate newspaper.

"The cargo recipients of petroleum products at sea terminals of the Far East (Gaidamak, Blyukher, Vanino, Pervaya Rechka) and the ports of the Northern Caucasus (Novorossiysk, Temryuk) are not observing unloading regulations. In this regard, the company has to introduce convention restrictions, which leads to a temporary reduction of loading volumes on these tracks," he said.

At the same time, Glazkov said the RZD network has reached a record level of total unloading over the past 15 years in January 2023, despite problems. "More than 52,500 cars were unloaded daily, including more than 17,300 cars at stations close to ports," he said.
