Russia registers 6,442 new cases of Covid-19, 44 deaths in past 24 hours - HQ
MOSCOW. Jan 24 (Interfax) - Russia has registered 6,442 new cases of Covid-19 and 44 related deaths in the past 24 hours, the coronavirus response headquarters said in a statement on Wednesday.
Russia "has recorded 6,442 new cases of Covid-19 and 899 patients have been hospitalized over the day, down 7.3% from the day before," the headquarters said.
According to the headquarters, the number of hospitalizations has grown in 36 Russian constituent territories, has decreased in 40, and has remained unchanged in nine.
Daily morbidity has increased by 1,740 cases from 4,702 seen on Tuesday.
Forty-four patients died from Covid-19 over the day, versus 42 the day before.
"Another 5,542 patients have recovered in the past 24 hours, up 1.4% from January 24," the headquarters said.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, Russia has seen a total of 21,910,020 cases of Covid-19, including 394,821 deaths and 21,321,174 recoveries.
