Russian Export Center ready to support fuel and energy, digitalization, railway infrastructure projects in Turkmenistan

ASHGABAT. Jan 19 (Interfax) - The Russian Export Center (REC) is prepared to support new largescale projects in the oil and gas sector in Turkmenistan, as well as projects to upgrade railway infrastructure, REC CEO Veronika Nikishina said on Thursday at a Russian-Turkmen business forum in Ashgabat, according to the REC press service.

"We're lowering the costs of logistics using a special government program and raising the effectivity of cooperation between Russian and Turkmen companies as a result, and we're providing analytical support and a lot else. We're currently working through further plans for joint work with Turkmen colleagues, including for projects in the area of oil and gas infrastructure, construction of train car repair facilities, and digital solutions in education," Nikishina said.

Nikishina hopes that the presence of Russian companies in Turkmenistan will strengthen and that largescale joint projects will be implemented, as well as for long-term cooperation.

More than 300 representatives of government organizations and companies are taking part in the forum in Ashgabat, including an REC delegation.
