Russia decides not to pay fee to UN Economic Commission for Europe - govt directive

MOSCOW. Jan 18 (Interfax) - Russia will not pay the annual membership fee to the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) for 2022, in line with a government directive dated January 17 available on the official online database of legal information.

"The proposal by the Russian Foreign Ministry, cleared with the Russian Finance Ministry, on not paying the membership fee to the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe for 2022 shall be accepted," it said.

The Russian Foreign Ministry has been instructed to inform the UNECE Secretariat of the decision.
