Russia registers 5,078 new cases of Covid-19, 47 deaths in past 24 hours - HQ

MOSCOW. Jan 13 (Interfax) - Russia has registered 5,078 new cases of Covid-19 and 47 related deaths in the past 24 hours, the coronavirus response headquarters said in a statement on Friday.

Russia "has recorded 5,078 new cases of Covid-19 and 876 patients have been hospitalized over the day, down 0.7% from the day before," the headquarters said.

The number of hospitalizations has grown in 39 Russian constituent territories, has decreased in 38, and has remained unchanged in eight.

The daily morbidity has grown by 403 cases from 4,675 reported on Thursday.

Forty-seven patients died from Covid-19 over the day, as against 48 the day before.

"Another 4,271 patients have recovered in the past 24 hours, down 5.9% from January 12," the headquarters said.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Russia has seen a total of 21,846,722 cases of Covid-19, including 394,309 deaths and 21,267,545 recoveries.
