Belarus considering possibility of using UAE ports

MINSK. Jan 12 (Interfax) - The issue of Belarus using the ports of the United Arab Emirates to transport goods was considered at a meeting between Belarusian Ambassador to the UAE Andrei Luchenok and Abu Dhabi Ports CEO Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi, the press service for the Belarusian Embassy said.

"On January 10, 2023 in Abu Dhabi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the United Arab Emirates Andrei Luchenok met with Managing Director and CEO of Abu Dhabi Ports Group Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi. During the meeting, the parties considered the possibilities of bilateral cooperation in the field of logistics, trade, and infrastructure development," the press service said.

Abu Dhabi Ports is a port, industrial, and logistics operator in the UAE. It operates 11 ports and terminals, including container, general cargo, roll-on/roll-off, and cruise, in the UAE and Guinea and has over 550 square kilometers of space in Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi.
