Peskov on G7's planned 2 price caps for Russian oil: any restrictions to be countered

MOSCOW. Jan 11 (Interfax) - Any restrictions on Russian oil will be countered, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

"Of course, Russia will do everything to meet its interests. Any restrictions will be countered. Russia will be balancing its interests. That's for sure. The market allows for doing so," Peskov said at a press briefing on Wednesday.

He thus commented on press reports which said that G7 members were planning to impose two price caps for Russian petroleum products in February.
