No vessels left Ukrainian ports on Jan 9 under Istanbul grain deal due to bad weather

NEW YORK, UN. Jan 10 (Interfax) - No vessels departed the Ukrainian ports on Monday under the Black Sea Grain Initiative because of adverse weather conditions, the Joint Coordination Center (JCC) said.

"The Joint Coordination Centre (JCC) reports that no vessels left Ukrainian ports today [on January 9] under the Black Sea Grain Initiative due to bad weather," the center said.

Meanwhile, three bulkers - the Blue Shark, Erica and Antheia - are heading to Ukrainian ports and transited the maritime humanitarian corridor on Monday, it said.

"As of 9 January, the total tonnage of grain and other foodstuffs exported from the three Ukrainian ports is 16,945,661 metric tonnes. A total of 1,264 voyages (631 inbound and 633 outbound) have been enabled so far," the JCC said.
