U.S. sanctions 10 Russian companies associated with shipping industry

WASHINGTON. Dec 22 (Interfax) - The United States Treasury Department added 10 Russian companies related to the shipping industry to its sanctions lists on Thursday.

According to a document published by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), Concern Morinformsystem Agat JSC, Central Research Institute of Structural Materials Prometey, JSC Battery Company Rigel, CJSC Central Research Institute of Marine Engineering, JSC Marine Bridge and Navigation Systems, and Shirshov Institute of Oceanology of the Russian Academy of Sciences are among the sanctioned companies.

The sanctions on these entities involve a freeze on their assets.
