Russia not to restrict seed imports to detriment of harvest - agriculture minister

MOSCOW. Dec 14 (Interfax) - Russia will not limits seed imports to the detriment of its own harvest, but for now there is no decision regarding their supply from abroad, Agriculture Minister Dmitry Patrushev said during government hour at the State Duma on Wednesday.

"Naturally, we will not make any decisions on import quotas that will be to the detriment of the harvest, our agricultural sector," the minister said. "Nevertheless, we will implement some restrictions in order to develop our own breeding," he said.

No solution has been reached so far, he said.
