Russian Foreign Ministry does not confirm reports on resumption of railway freight services between Russia, N. Korea

ST. PETERSBURG. Dec 13 (Interfax) - Moscow cannot confirm reports on the resumption of railroad freight services between Russia and North Korea, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko said.

"I cannot confirm these reports," Rudenko told journalists in reply to a question from Interfax on the sidelines of the Asian conference of the Valdai Discussion Club in St. Petersburg on Tuesday.

A number of Western media outlets reported earlier with reference to satellite imagery that, following a three-year pause over the coronavirus pandemic, Russia and North Korea resumed railroad freight services. In particular, reports said two shipments of cargo were delivered from Russia to North Korea at the end of November and in early December.
