Kyrgyzstan has paid off over $350 mln in govt debt in 2022

BISHKEK. Dec 7 (Interfax) - Kyrgyzstan has paid off over $350 million in government debt this year, the press service of the country's Finance Ministry said on Wednesday.

"In January-November 2022, 10 billion som [$117 million] were allocated from the republican budget of Kyrgyzstan in order to service the government's domestic debt, and 20.6 billion som [$242 million] were allocated to service external government debt," according to the press service.

The press service also said that Kyrgyzstan's government debt is currently 434.4 billion som, or $5.2 billion.
