Russia registers 6,785 new cases of Covid-19, 58 deaths in past 24 hours - HQ

MOSCOW. Dec 1 (Interfax) - Russia has registered 6,785 new cases of Covid-19 and 58 related deaths in the past 24 hours, the coronavirus response headquarters said in a statement on Thursday.

"Russia has recorded 6,785 new cases of Covid-19 and 1,311 patients have been hospitalized throughout the day, down 2.2% from the day before," the headquarters said.

The number of hospitalizations has grown in 42 Russian constituent territories, decreased in 33, and has remained unchanged in ten, it said.

Daily morbidity has grown by 697 cases from 6,088 reported on Wednesday. The morbidity levels have been growing for two consecutive days.

Another 58 patients died from Covid-19 over course of the day, versus 59 the day before.

"Meanwhile, 5,865 patients have recovered in the past 24 hours, up 5.5% from November 30," the headquarters said.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Russia has seen a total of 21,597,613 cases of Covid-19, including 392,060 deaths and 21,003,575 recoveries.
