Kazakh president to pay official visit to France on Nov 29-30

ASTANA. Nov 25 (Interfax) - Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will pay an official visit to France on November 29-30, the presidential press service said.

"While in Paris, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev is planning to have talks with French President Emmanuel Macron, where prospective development of the strategic partnership in the trade, economic, investment and humanitarian fields will be discussed," the press service said on Friday.

Tokayev will also have a series of meetings with French businessmen, it said.

On Monday, November 28, the Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will arrive in Russia  on a visit at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Kremlin press service said.

"During their talks, the parties plan to discuss the further development of the Russian-Kazakh strategic partnership and allied relations and prospects for interaction within integration associations across the Eurasian space," the press service said.

Furthermore, Putin and Tokayev will address by video link the plenary session of the 18th Russia-Kazakhstan Interregional Cooperation Forum, which will take place in the Russian city of Orenburg.

The two presidents are expected to sign a number of bilateral documents, including a declaration between Russia and Kazakhstan on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.

It will be Tokayev's first official foreign visit after securing another term as Kazakh president in the snap presidential elections on November 20, the press service said.
