Bulker to deliver Ukrainian wheat to Bangladesh

NEW YORK, UN. Nov 25 (Interfax) - One vessel carrying 54,000 tonnes of wheat departed a Ukrainian port on Thursday, the Joint Coordination Center (JCC) said.

"The Joint Coordination Centre (JCC) reports that one vessel left Ukrainian ports today carrying a total of 54,000 metric tonnes of wheat under the Black Sea Grain Initiative. The vessel that began its outbound voyage today, from Odessa to Bangladesh, is Berden," the center said.

Another two vessels transited the maritime humanitarian corridor on Thursday heading to the Ukrainian ports under the Istanbul grain deal, it said.

Also, 79 vessels with the capacity to export around 2.5 million tonnes of food products are waiting to enter the Ukrainian ports, and 31 loaded vessels are awaiting inspection in Turkish territorial waters before proceeding to their points of destination.

"As of 24 November, the total tonnage of grain and other foodstuffs exported from the three Ukrainian ports is 11,907,507 metric tonnes. A total of 977 voyages (485 inbound and 492 outbound) have been enabled so far," the JCC said.
