Russia registers 4,460 new cases of Covid-19, 59 deaths in past 24 hours - HQ

MOSCOW. Nov 22 (Interfax) - Russia has registered 4,460 new cases of Covid-19 and 59 related deaths in the past 24 hours, the coronavirus response headquarters said in a statement on Tuesday.

"Russia has recorded 4,460 new cases of Covid-19 and 1,434 patients have been hospitalized over the day, up 220.1% from the day before," the headquarters said.

The number of hospitalizations has grown in 69 Russian constituent territories, has decreased in three, and has remained unchanged in 13, it said. The hospitalization of 448 patients was reported on Monday.

The daily morbidity has insignificantly declined from 4,662 cases reported on Monday, while remaining at the level of late July.

Another 59 patients died from Covid-19 over the day, as against 55 the day before.

"Meanwhile 6,444 patients have recovered, up 54.8% from November 21," the headquarters said.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Russia has seen a total of 21,545,351 cases of Covid-19, including 391,568 deaths and 20,954,532 recoveries.
