Rosatom, TMH agree on equipment supplies for Russian, foreign nuclear energy projects

MOSCOW. Nov 22 (Interfax) - Rosatom Group and Transmashholding (TMH) signed an agreement at the Atomexpo-2022 forum to develop cooperation on the design, manufacture, testing, delivery and servicing of diesel generators with capacity of up to 6.5 MW for Russian and foreign nuclear projects, the state nuclear corporation reported.

TMH's existing solutions in the field of diesel generators play an important role in back-up power supply systems and ensuring uninterrupted and safe operation of nuclear power plants and other highly advanced facilities, Rosatom said.

The agreement will also be aimed at developing new areas at Rosatom within the context of import substitution.

TMH is Russia's leading manufacturer of rolling stock. The group has plants in St. Petersburg, Bryansk, Penza and Tver, Moscow, Rostov and Saratov regions, as well as other countries in the CIS, Africa and South America. The group's service division is hived off in the legally independent holding company Locomotive Technologies.
