Armenia and U.S. discuss defense cooperation

YEREVAN. Nov 17 (Interfax) - Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan and United States European Command Director for Strategy, Plans and Policy Maj. Gen. Daniel Lasica have discussed defense cooperation between the two countries.

"Suren Papikyan and the delegation led by Maj. Gen. Daniel Lasica discussed issues concerning bilateral cooperation in the field of defense," the Armenian Defense Ministry's press service said.

At a meeting with Lasica on Wednesday, Armenian Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan "highly assessed the dynamics of development of Armenia-U.S. relations, including in security."

Grigoryan also briefed Lasica on the Armenian government's steps to implement structural and in-depth reforms within the country's Armed Forces.
