Ukraine cuts coal imports 71.4% to 4.58 mln tonnes in 10M
MOSCOW. Nov 16 (Interfax) - Ukraine reduced bituminous coal and anthracite imports, commodity nomenclature code 2701, by 71.4% year-on-year in January-October 2022 to 4.578 million tonnes, Ukrainian media said, quoting State Customs Service data.
The imports fell in value, by 35.1% to $1.13 billion.
Ukraine imported $431.082 million of coal or 38.13% of the total by value from Russia, $309.178 million or 27.35% from the United States and $153.619 million or 13.59% from Australia.
Ukraine exported 634,170 tonnes of coal for $193,957 million in 10M 2022, including to Slovakia - $116,529 million, Poland - $47,574 million and Hungary - $27,289 million. Ukraine exported just 4,982 tonnes for $801,000 in 10M 2021.
Coal imports rose 15.4% to 19.563 million tonnes in 2021.
