Russian fertilizer deliveries from Europe to Africa to start next week - Macron

HONG KONG. Nov 16 (Interfax) - Deliveries of Russian fertilizers to African countries via Europe along a special corridor will start next week, French President Emmanuel Macron said at the Group of Twenty summit on Wednesday.

"As regards fertilizers, at the Paris Peace Forum last week, we and the [UN] World Food Program confirmed the opening of a new corridor to deliver Russian fertilizers from Europe to Africa. The first such deliveries will be made next week," Macron said.

France has allocated 7.5 million euros for these efforts, he said.

When commenting on the situation around Ukraine, Macron said that Paris will continue in its contacts with Moscow.

"We will continue dialogue with Russia when it is necessary," he said.
