USDA retains forecast for Russia's production and export of wheat

MOSCOW. Nov 10 (Interfax) - The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) in its November report, as well as in its October report, has retained its respective forecasts for Russia's production and export of wheat.

The estimate for Russia's wheat harvest is 91 million tonnes in 2022. The previous change was in September, when the forecast was raised by three million tonnes to 91 million tonnes.

The estimate of Russian wheat exports has also remained at 42 million tonnes in the 2022-2023 agricultural year, and the closest competitor, the European Union, has also remained at 35 million tonnes.

The forecast for Russia's feed-grain harvest remains at 42 million tonnes this year. The estimated exports of the grain have dropped to 9.65 million tonnes from 10.15 million tonnes the previous month.

The USDA has also retained the forecast for Russia's corn harvest at 15 million tonnes and its exports at four million tonnes.

The USDA does not factor in figures from Crimea.
