Ukraine agrees to supply equipment from 12 countries to restore power grid - FM

MOSCOW. Nov 1 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has agreed on deliveries of equipment from the governments and companies of 12 countries to restore Ukraine's power grid, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said.

"We have already agreed on the supply of equipment from the governments and companies of 12 countries, namely, Israel, Finland, France, Italy, Lithuania, Germany, North Macedonia, Poland, the Republic of Korea, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Spain. In total, there are 954 pieces of energy equipment. The first deliveries of aid have already reached Ukraine and the rest are expected to arrive in the near future. We continue working on increasing the number of partners and the amount of support," the minister is quoted by the Ukrainian media as saying.

The minister noted that the relevant order had been issued by the president, while the Interior Ministry, the Energy Ministry and other state authorities and state-owned enterprises have drawn up and are updating the list of needs. The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has updated relevant requests as part of the EU Civil Protection Mechanism and the NATO disaster response center. Additionally, the diplomats are processing requests directly with the power equipment manufacturers in France, Germany, Belgium, Sweden, China and other countries.

The Foreign Ministry said that power generators of different types, automatic switches, heat guns and other items are among the equipment received by Ukraine.
