Ukraine to receive 2 mln euros in grants to restore healthcare institutions

MOSCOW. Oct 26 (Interfax) - Ukraine will receive 2 million euros in grants for reconstructing a number of its healthcare institutions, Ukrainian media have reported with reference to the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development.

"The European Investment Bank (EIB) and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) signed a grant agreement on supporting the Ukraine Public Buildings Energy Efficiency (UPBEE) program during the 5th German-Ukrainian Economic Forum in Berlin on October 25," the report says.

The 2-million-euro grant is to be provided by the Eastern Europe Energy Efficiency and Environment Partnership (E5P Fund) to reconstruct a number of Ukrainian healthcare institutions.

The Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada ratified two grant agreements between Ukraine and the EIB in August, under which Ukraine should receive 5 million euros in grants for the UPBEE program.
