Russia, Pakistan to hold intergovernmental commission meeting in early 2023

MOSCOW. Oct 13 (Interfax) - Russia and Pakistan will hold an intergovernmental commission meeting early in 2023, the Russian Energy Ministry said.

The commission met last time in Yekaterinburg in November 2021.

Russian Energy Minister Nikolai Shulginov discussed prospects of cooperation in the fuel and energy sector with Pakistani Ambassador to Russia Shafqat Ali Khan on the sidelines of the Russian Energy Week forum.

In particular, the parties considered the implementation of the Pakistan Stream gas pipeline project, interaction in the oil and gas sector, and preparations for the intergovernmental commission meeting in early 2023.

"We are closely interacting with Pakistani partners along the entire agenda of the Russian-Pakistani intergovernmental commission and scientific-technical cooperation, including that in the energy sector," the ministry quoted Shulginov as saying.
