Hungary agrees partial deferment of payments for winter gas with Gazprom - reports

MOSCOW. Oct 3 (Interfax) - Hungary's national energy trader MVN has reached an agreement with Russia's Gazprom allowing a partial deferment of payments for gas supplied in the coming winter, Hungarian media report.

Hungary pays Gazprom according to the TTF month ahead index.

The agreement includes a lower price threshold, below which payment is made immediately, while anything above it can be paid in equal installments during the next three years.

Bloomberg reports that the agreement will give MVM Group more financial flexibility.
