Launch of Crew Dragon-5 spaceship with Russian cosmonaut Kikina onboard to ISS delayed until Oct 4 due to hurricane - NASA

WASHINGTON. Sept 28 (Interfax) - The launch of the SpaceX Crew Dragon-5 spaceship with Roscosmos cosmonaut Anna Kikina onboard to the International Space Station (ISS) has been moved from October 3 to October 4 due to Hurricane Ian, NASA said.

According to NASA, Crew Dragon-5 will be launched no earlier than 12:32 a.m. EST on Tuesday, October 4, (7:23 p.m. MSK), and Wednesday, October 5, is a reserve date.

NASA said it would be continuing to watch the impact of Hurricane Ian on the Kennedy Space Center in Florida and might adjust the launch date again if necessary.

As reported earlier, A Falcon-9 launch vehicle coupled with SpaceX Crew Dragon-5 was scheduled to take off from Kennedy Space Center no earlier than 7:46 p.m. Moscow time on October 3.
