Ukrainian MP call on Rada to ask EuroParl and Council of EU to extend temporary trade liberalization measures

MOSCOW. Sept 27 (Interfax) - Ukrainian parliamentarians have called on the Verkhovna Rada to ask the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union to extend temporary measures on trade liberalization until the completion of talks on Ukraine's membership in the EU.

MPs registered the relevant draft resolution in the Verkhovna Rada on September 26, Ukrainian media said.

Ukrainian parliamentarians have proposed that the preferences first provided on May 30, 2022 in line with the rules of the European Parliament and the Council of the EU on temporary trade liberalization measures, which complement the trade preferences for Ukrainian goods in accordance with the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement, be extended until the completion of the talks on Ukraine's accession to the EU.
