Large block of annexes being prepared for 2023 Ukrainian draft budget to support local self-govt - Rada chairman
MOSCOW. Sept 22 (Interfax) - An extensive block of annexes concerning support for the local self-government system in Ukraine is being drawn up for a draft budget for 2023, Ukrainian media quoted Verkhovna Rada Chairman Ruslan Stefanchuk as saying.
"Proposals will be made, and I know that a large block of proposals concerning local self-government is being prepared now," Stefanchuk said in his remarks at the 9th Ukrainian Local Self-Government Forum.
As reported earlier, Ukrainian Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko presented a draft budget for 2023 at a Verkhovna Rada session on Wednesday. The document envisions national security and defense expenditures in the amount of 1.14 trillion hryvni, or 17.8% of GDP, and a deficit of 20% of GDP, which is expected to be financed using assistance from foreign partners.
