Naftogaz expects lift of ban on oil export - Chairman

MOSCOW. Sept 13 (Interfax) - Naftogaz of Ukraine Chairman Yuriy Vitrenko has said he expects the Ukrainian government to lift the ban on exports of oil and gas condensate shortly, Ukrainian media reported on Tuesday.

"This concerns the volumes of process oil that are not being used," Vitrenko said at a press conference in Kyiv on Tuesday.

Lifting the ban on exports of petroleum feedstock and its sale would enable Ukraine to raise funds that could be used to purchase natural gas to smoothly go through the heating season, he said.

"We are expecting a package of decisions to settle the issue in the near future," he said.

Naftogaz possesses different grades of process oils, and liquid hydrocarbons produced in different parts of Ukraine also differ in their parameters, and therefore, a comprehensive decision is necessary to make exports stable and economically feasible, Vitrenko said.
