MOEX to resume evening trading on stock market, morning trading on derivatives, forex markets Sept 12
MOSCOW. Sept 1 (Interfax) - The Moscow Exchange plans to bring back the evening trading session on the stock market on September 12, as well as morning trading on the derivatives and forex markets, the exchange said in a press release.
Trading on the forex market will therefore last for 12 hours, trading on the equities and bond markets will continue for 14 hours, and trading on the derivatives market will go on for 15 hours.
Trading on the exchange will be conducted from 9:50 a.m. to 11:50 p.m. Moscow time beginning on September 12:
9:50-18:50 - main trading session
9:50-10:00 - opening auction
10:00-18:40 - trading period
18:40-18:50 - closing auction
19:00-23:50 - evening trading session
19:00-19:05 - opening auction
19:05-23:50 - trading period
Forty-six shares will be available for trading on the exchange during the evening session, including shares from the Moscow Exchange index, as well as RPS and RPS deals with the CCP. There are plans later to resume trading in shares of exchange-traded funds.
Russian federal loan bonds (OFZ) and Russian sovereign Eurobonds, as well as RPS and RPS deals with the CCP, and bookbuilding for bond placements will be available for trading on the fixed income market during the main evening session.
Trading on the derivatives market will be conducted for all instruments from 9:00 a.m. to 11:50 p.m. Moscow time beginning on September 12:
9:00-10:00 - morning trading session
10:00-19:00 - main trading session
19:05-23:50 - evening trading session
Trading on the forex market will be conducted for all instruments from 6:50 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Moscow time beginning on September 12:
6:50-7:00 - opening auction
7:00-19:00 - trading period
The exchange suspended morning trading on the derivatives market on February 25, and on the currency market on February 28. Trading on the derivatives market is currently conducted from 10:00 a.m. to 11:50 p.m. Moscow time (evening trading resumed on July 12); and on the currency market from 9:50 a.m. to 6:50 Moscow time. Trading on the equities market during the evening session has been suspended since February 28, and trading resumed without the evening session following the suspension; trading is currently conducted from 9:50 a.m. to 6:50 p.m. Moscow time
