Pashinyan, Aliyev discuss delimitation of Armenian-Azerbaijani border, unblocking communications - Armenian govt

YEREVAN. Aug 31 (Interfax) - Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev met in Brussels through mediation from European Council President Charles Michel to discuss the settlement of relations between Yerevan and Baku.

"The parties discussed the release of prisoners, clarification of the fate of missing persons, border delimitation and security, unblocking of regional communications, settlement of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and issues related to the Nagorno-Karabakh problem," the Armenian government press service said on Wednesday evening.

"An agreement was reached to continue substantial negotiations at the foreign minister level to elaborate a draft peace agreement," the statement said.

"A meeting of the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan will be held within a month," the government noted.

The next meeting of the Armenian and Azerbaijani commissions on border delimitation and security will be held in Brussels in November, the press service also said.

The previous, second meeting of the commissions at the level of deputy prime ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan was held in Moscow on August 30.
