Belarus lowering export duties on oil, petroleum products on Sept 1

MINSK. Aug 31 (Interfax) - Belarus is lowering duties on the export of oil and petroleum products from the customs area of the Eurasian Economic Union from September 1.

The export duty on crude oil, fuel oil, petroleum bitumen, petroleum jelly and paraffin and used petroleum products will be lowered to $52 from $53 per tonne, according to a government resolution of published on the national legal information website.

The duty on straight-run gasoline will be lowered to $28.6 from $29.1 per tonne, and that on commercial gasoline, diesel, light and medium distillates, benzene, toluol, xylol and lubricants to $15.6 from $15.9.

The duties were lowered 4% on August 1.

Belarus has been aligning its export duties on oil and oil products with Russia's since 2010 in light of its duty-free imports of oil from Russia. In accordance with EAEU agreements, all export duties on oil and oil products have remained in the Belarusian budget since 2015.
