Over 1 mln tonnes of agricultural products shipped from Ukrainian ports - Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority

MOSCOW. Aug 29 (Interfax) - More than 1 million tonnes of agrarian products have been shipped from Ukrainian ports to 15 countries since the moment the grain corridor commenced operation, the Ukrainian media said with the reference to the press service of the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority.

"In the course of the implementation of the Black Sea Grain Initiative, over 26 days of operation of the grain corridor, 44 ships have departed from Ukrainian ports to carry over 1 million tonnes of agricultural products to 15 countries," the statement, published on Facebook in the early hours of Saturday, said.

Four ships departed from the Chornomorsk seaport on Friday morning to carry 133,000 tonnes of wheat, corn and oil to Sudan, India, Egypt and Turkey.

"Over the week of the grain corridor's operation, the ports of Greater Odesa have received 13 ships for loading 362,000 tonnes of wheat, corn, rapeseed, oil, soy and barley. They will be destined for ports in Spain, Israel, Germany and Turkey. Meanwhile, 13 ships loaded with 294,000 tonnes of wheat, oil, soy, rapeseed and corn have departed for ports in Libya, the Netherlands, Israel, India, Egypt, Tunisia, Germany and Sudan," the statement said.
