Zelensky proposes holding UN's Future Summit in Kyiv
MOSCOW. Aug 25 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has proposed holding the United Nation's Future Summit in Kyiv next year.
"Antonio Guterres, the UN Secretary General, wants to organize the Future Summit next year. We support this initiative," Zelensky said on Wednesday, addressing a UN Security Council meeting on Ukraine by video link.
"I am confident that we can build a common future together," he said.
"It would be symbolic to hold this summit in Ukraine," Zelensky said, adding that "our independence is your security."
