UK to allocate new major package of military aid to Ukraine worth 54 mln pounds

LONDON. Aug 24 (Interfax) - The United Kingdom will allocate a 54 million pound package of military aid to Ukraine, which will include, among other things, 2,000 drones, the UK government said in a statement on its website on Wednesday.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said during his meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv that this major package of support would be allocated. He said this package would include unmanned surveillance and anti-tank loitering munitions requested by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. In particular, the UK is planning to supply Ukraine with 850 hand launched Black Hornet micro-drones, which are specifically designed for use in towns and villages.
