Ukraine imported 760,000 tonnes of petroleum products in July - Economy Ministry

MOSCOW. Aug 19 (Interfax) - Ukraine imported 760,000 tonnes of petroleum products in July, Ukrainian First Deputy Minister of Economy Denys Kudin said.

"Ukraine imported around 760,000 tonnes of gasoline and LPR car fuel," Ukrainian media quoted Kudin as saying at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada's financial committee.

According to Kudin, this amount is comparable to the pre-crisis levels of import.

According to Ukrainian Economy Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, Ukraine imported 60,000 tonnes of petroleum products in March, 191,000 tonnes in April, and 380,000 tonnes in May.

Imports of petroleum products were projected to increase by 1.6-fold in June to 600,000 tonnes, with diesel fuel accounting for two-thirds of this amount, and the rest is gasoline and liquefied gas, she said.
