Ural Airlines, Aeroflot, Red Wings make most flights abroad after imposition of sanctions

MOSCOW. Aug 11 (Interfax) - Ural Airlines , Aeroflot and Red Wings were Russia's leading airlines by number of international passengers in March-June 2022, data analysed by Interfax showed.

Ural Airlines carried about 829,000 passengers on international flights in the period, an industry source told Interfax. The airline's press service refrained from commenting on these figures.

Aeroflot carried 545,000 passengers to international destinations in March-June, according to operating results for the first half published by the airline.

Red Wings carried 487,000 international passengers, the source said and a company spokesman confirmed.

The source said Azimuth and UTair carried about 298,000 and 294,000 international passengers in the period, respectively. Rossiya Airlines carried 270,000 international passengers, data from parent company Aeroflot showed.

Azur Air, Nordwind, S7 and IrAero were also among the top ten airlines by international passenger traffic.
