Two more ships to sail out of Chornomorsk through grain corridor - Turkish Defense Ministry

MOSCOW. Aug 9 (Interfax) - The Turkish Defense Ministry is expecting two more ships to be successfully loaded with grain at the Ukrainian seaport of Chornomorsk.

The Ukrainian media has cited the ministry as saying on a social network that MV Ocean Lion flying the flag of Liberia has left Chornomorsk with 64,720 tonnes of corn onboard. The ship is destined to South Korea.

MV Rahmi Yagci, which flies the Turkish flag, is due to bring 5,300 tonnes of sunflower meal in bulk from Chornomorsk to Istanbul.

Four ships loaded with Ukrainian grain will be inspected by the Joint Coordination Center within hours, the ministry said.

Ukraine, Turkey and Russia signed the initiative for safe transportation of grain and food from the Ukrainian ports of Odesa, Chornomorsk and Yuzhny in Istanbul on July 22 under the UN aegis.
