Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan-Turkey dialogue format to hold first meeting in Tashkent on Tuesday

TASHKENT. Aug 1 (Interfax) - The first meeting of the Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan-Turkey dialogue format involving foreign, trade, economy and transport ministers will take place in Tashkent on August 2, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry's press service said on Monday.

"The sides will discuss further strengthening of the strategic partnership of Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and Turkey in regional and global politics, trade, the economy, investments and transport," the press service said.

New proposals will be put forward at the meeting to broaden already mutually advantageous cooperation in the previously mentioned areas.

The meeting will end with the adoption of the Tashkent Declaration, the ministry said.

Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev is due to meet with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov on the meeting's sidelines.
